Dead Fireplace

Sometime back, I tried to turn on the fireplace to take the chill off. No joy as nothing would come on. No light for the flame and no heat. Today, I had some time and pulled the fireplace. First checked the outlet and had current there, removed the top but was unable to see any burned or disconnected wires. I did find out that it has a fan, which has not worked since day one. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

When ours was not working I called the mfg. I think ours was Dimplex and they sent a little motor at no charge. It plugged right in. We had no heat or fan. We did have light. They will definitely help you out. They where great to work with.

I suggest you contact the company that built it reference the fan. But first you need to resolve why the rest is not working.

This link may help you trouble shoot it not working.

Does your fireplace share power source with the microwave?

Far to many problems with the Fire place in Montana and other brands. We did not get one in this 3400 and will not get one in the next one.

We have had ours for 6 years trouble free. (Hope I don't jinx myself) It is a great source for heat on those cool mornings and much cheaper to run than the furnace. Jim

Ditto what jimcol said. Ours has been a real asset. It was on the unit we bought off the lot and I was skeptical as to its usefulness. Our year and half in chilly Washington sure confirmed its value. If mine quits working, I will get it repaired.
