Planning on a 3075 or 3400
I currently have a Cougar 295RlS tt and am thinking of upgrading to a 5er, either the Montana 3075 or the 3400. Maybe the 3075 because we like to go to some sites that have 35' limits. The lease on my 2004 Nav is up and I'm looking at the 2008 Ford 350 SRW 4x4. I hang out on rv.net and heard about this forum and decided to join and learn. I'm sure if I end up with the Monty I'll be here a lot. Thanks for being here for us new folks.

Welcome to the MOC. Can't go wrong reading through these postings.
Nothing wrong with the 3075, great layout.
Even with out a Monty, hang around and keep joining in.

Welcome BrokenElbow, and I have to don't have a broken elbow. I am not familiar with the 3075 but I do know one thing - I have the 3400 and just love it. If you camp at some places with - lets say - less than desireable size on the sites then length is one consideration. It is funny but sometimes when putting that 3400 in a camp site it seems like a semi trailer then other times I have back in like it was a pop up camper. Either way I don't think you can go wrong with either of those two models.

I would suggest taking a tape measure to that 3075 before assuming it is under 35 Feet long if that is a issue. The spec's say 34.8..the tape measure will confirm..or...

BrokenElbow,
We too have the Cougar 294RLS. Looked at the 3075, 3475, and 3400. After much thought we decided to go with the 3400. Good luck on your choice.
