Jacking for blocks

I have just ordered the 319BHD. MY site is not level front to back or side to side. I do not have a tow vehicle so I will have it delivered. When it comes i would like to put blocks under the wheels. I have read that it is not good to jack these fifth wheels and as I don,t want to hurt my new unit I am asking for help. There has to be a way to jack my unit as I will not be able to move it.
Thank you in advance

Send a message via MSN to Fordzilla
When they deliver it have blocks ready and get it as close to level side to side as possible and then you can use the front legs to bring it level front to back. Once level front to back you can adjust the rear stabilizers to avoid some of the wiggles.

I have 2 X 12s (X 10 ft long)leveled side by side just in the tire area. I leveled them with rocks/dirt/sand (whatever was around at the time) using a level side to side and close front to back. You'll want to get the front to back closer by using the pin.

My unit has been sitting on the same site for 2 years now. Don't plan on buying TV till late next year as wife's retirement plan is for 2008.
Level the ground at the wheel area as much as possible.
(I actually dug in on 1 side and raise the other side).
Use 2 X 10 X 6 to 8 feel long. Use different tickness as necessary
(I have 1 on one side and 2 on the other).
Then use the rear stabilizer and a trypod on the pin.
That is all you need.
For winter I simply retract the rear jacks and remove the tripod.
Never had a problem with this set up.
Good luck.

crandallbradley,

Everyone else has said it correct. Get the wheels level from side to side, then level the coach front to rear with the front jacks and rear stabilizers.

Well if they drop it off and don't level it, you can do it the slow way 1 inch at a time each wheel, at the spring pad jack point, but Please do lock the other side duel wheels when lifting the side that has to come up, the front to back level is done with the morerised front lifts.

In my previous campsite I had to dig railroad ties into the sod to get the coach level. I found it much easier to use ties and 2 x 12's to back onto to level the coach instead of jacking it up to level it. Just my findings...
