Surge Guard (2)

Done a little search and came up with this website that seems to have about everything that everyone was asking for in the previous "SURGE GUARD" disscusion... You will have to look for what you want to cover your own home. Note all instructions are included by clicking on a link, plus descriptions....JB

http://www.aplussupply.com/intermatic/ig1240.htm

Now all we need is for people with digital cameras to take pictures of their installatios standing back a few feet from the actual box so we can see what they have done. Don't need those close-ups. I can tell that we have some good ideas from the post in previous thread on surge protectors... Happy trails...deadeye

OZZ should be able to help out here, he has one not sure which model he has. Ozz in mounting this in looking at direction you just pick two separate legs on hot side to wire the black leads coming in. Can you not just tap into the both hot leads on the main and that protect whole system, or do you have to use separate legs?

Hi.
Tap onto both hot legs, your RV is protected. Two Green lights, when both are lit, you are good to go.
EVERYTHING downstream is protected as good as you can get.
Man, this deal is about as misunderstood as it can get. (Thanks, Broome 101)

Thanks OZZ-- the more I read the other thread on Surge proterctors, the more confused I got.. Thanks again. I knew I could rely on someone from K.C. to bail me out... My daughter is from Shawnee.. She is IT Director at Pivet International. She is over in China right now...JB--deadeye
