Surge protectors/Autoformers

I am sure new to this stuff In the stick house I only need a surge protectior. Is there a product made that covers all the needs that you all have been talking about or do you need a autoformer and the 50amp surge guard I don't have a Gen. yet but know from the posts put nothing between the Gen. and the RV. what I have seen on prices of the two products they are not cheap what are the recomendations for starting new?

On the new 3400RL we ordered we've asked the dealer to install one of the hardwired 50Amp surge guards. I figued it was more important to protect the equipment in the coach from too high or low a voltage. Plus we're having the Onan generator installed so if the power is not right coming from the park we'll can switch to the generator for now. If we experience too many sites with faulty power we'll consider adding the Autoformer. At this point I'm more worried about power that's too low for the Autoformer to boost or electrical surges causing damage.
