You will love it. I put mine in two months after buying our 2015 F350 in 2014. Great accessory and so far so good

Put a 50 Transfer Flow in bed giving me 86 total. What everyone else said, when and where I want to refuel, but more important less stress.

I also added a 50 gal transfer flow to my one ton Chevy dually. The filler tube is just below the bed rails so my back flip cover fits right over it. I really love it. Takes all the worry out of finding fuel while you are driving during the day. Much easier to stop and get fuel without the Montana behind you. After slipping on some spilled fuel at a truck stop I have decided to just use 1 gal def jugs and refill as needed. I did not break anything but did hurt my arm some. For us this is a much safer way to travel.

I replaced the factory tank in my 2012 Chevy 3500HD dually with the 61 gal transfer flow tank and also added the 50 gal aux transfer flow tank to my bed ( total 111 gals). I too have the bak-flip cover that's why I went with 50 gal tank so I can still close my cover. Transfer flow tank works great..

Aux Tank

When we were planning our trip to Alaska, I told the DW that we should get an aux fuel tank. We already had a Pace Edwards Bedlocker toneau cover, which we love, and we bought a Transfer Flow "L" shaped tank that fit in the bed of the truck behind and under the canister for the tonneau cover.

Our main tank only held 26 gal (98 ltrs). The aux tank from Transfer Flow (Chico, CA) hold another 37 gal (140 ltrs). I installed it myself in a couple of hours. The instruction were very clear.

The TRAX3 display on your dash tells you the percentage left in each tank. It automatically pumps fuel from the aux tank to you main tank so you never need to worry about when you might need to transfer fuel. It's a gem!

As Others have said, it was a pain looking for a fuel station with the 5vr attached. I didn't buy it to save money buying fuel when it is cheap, although that is a positive, I bought it so that I didn't have to stop at every gas station on our day's trip.

The convenience of being able to travel 800+ miles without filling up is hard to put a price on. And the ability to fuel up without the 5vr attached is wonderful.

We just bought a new 2018 Denali with a tank size of 130 ltrs. If I think the stock tank is not enough, I'll definitly get another Transfer Flow.

Bud,

I agree with you and the Titan. I still get to keep my 8 foot bed, and used it yesterday to haul a full load of food and drinks etc. for a Church BBQ at the beach! Can never have enough bed space, and my 55 gallon Titan gets me anywhere I want to go and never have to fill up again with the 5ver attached! No more of this crazy stuff, where no one seems to know what the height of their overhangs are at gas stations. I asked two women at this gas station, and they said we think it is 16 feet! :-) Yeah right!

We have a Trax3 Transfer Flow 50 gal installed on our '16 RAM 2500 Big Horn. The auxilliary tank automatically pumps into main tank. Great savior driving in the southwest where fuel stations are few & far between. When home, we refuel the aux tank not the main tank.
I took a picture of our tank but I don't know how to post it. sorry.

I was concerned with loosing my 8' bed when I had the 50 Transfer Flow put in but realized that the tank is thinner than the tail gate so I still have 8' for plywood and such. Could add a bed tender on the tail gate if needed.

What’s the procedure transferring fuel manually from the in bed auxilary tank to the main tank.By manually I mean auxilary is tied into the main filler neck.
I have a 2017 3500 Duramax 8’ bed.

I understand in most states a direct connect or stiffen is illegal, it must be pumped. The Transfer flow equalizes the tanks and has a display. I have read where others have installed tanks and put in pumps with a remote switch, but have also heard that can mess up the trucks gas display for a time.
