Pigeon Forge Campgrounds??
Looking for good suggestions for campgounds in the Pigeon Forge, TN area. Also best route to avoid high mountain driving when towing the Monty near there. We will be coming from Lexington, KY. Thanks

Colleen,
We stayed at Creekside RV Park. Very handy to everything, snd not too far off the main drag.

We like Eagles Nest and it is a Pass Port park, but may not be able to use it in Oct. because of the leaves turning. Trolly turns around at the park also.

You might also check campgroundreviews.com for more comparison info. Some good, candid insight there re. CGs and prices.

We have stayed at several in the area including some mentioned above but we prefer River Plantation in Sevierville over all of them. As far as getting there, take exit #407 off of interstate 40....no mountains or winding roads.

I agree with Vangoes, we like River Plantation. Also Creekside is a Passport park but may not be available for Oct. Enjoy.

Hi
We stayed at Rippling Waters Camp ground in Sevierville on Hwy 66 for a week in the summer of 2010. It was nice and easy to get to from I40 exit 407.

If you like it a little more quiet, try Big Meadow Campground in Townsend. Great access to the Smokey Mountains National park and about 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge.
