They are absolutely worth the expense. They do require you to do smaller loads, but you get used to it. We have been living in our Montana for 8 months and I have it down to a science. Just do a load every day or two. I will confess to going to my son's to wash the sheets, because I would have to dry one at a time, but that is exactly what I will do, once we hit the road. Ours is the combination unit. If you get the separate washer and dryer, the dryer is a little larger. What ever you do - DO NOT GET THE UNVENTED UNIT!!! We had one and hated it. It made the Monty too hot and took FOREVER to dry. Swapped it out for a vented unit and no problems. It does take a couple of hours to wash and dry one load. Just depends on what you are washing.
Edit: We have since traded units and have the stackable units. Made a big difference in the dry time. Completely satisfied.
