New Sofa!!!
Well as I had posted before about our short Sofa.
Well I usually mess up when buying presents, my wife the other day when out with her girlfriend and went shopping.
She bought her Mothers Day present, my Fathers Day present, her's and mine birthday present and also our anniversery present for 2005.
We have a new 77 inch sofa for the trailer.
Just the colors and design see wants.
Long enough and with one seat coushion.
Full size pull out sleeper and a great matress.
It's a Lazy Boy sofa.
We have to take the trailer to the store, they will take the sleeper part out and move the couch in then the sleeper and put it back together.
We are going to put it across the back and move the two rockers to the slider side.
It is ashame, after what we spend on the rigs to have to replace the sofa.
But the dogs are happy in the house, they have a new sofa, nobody else is comfortable sitting on it.

We may need to make a visit to the Lazy Boy store. The recliner is a little short for my height. We might as well look at sofas while we're there.

Bob,
I plan on taking my camera with me when they put the sofa in will post the pictures.
Lamar,
Love your idea, maybe it is time for me to look at a new recliner for me.
The question that your post brings up is.
Do we need 2 recliners or just one nice one?
Happy birthday to me for 2006.

Congratulations, Sven and Pat! We replaced our hideabed with the jackknife sofa ordered from Montana through our dealer. Mistake. It's almost as uncomfortable as was the original. We'd love to do as you did but we're so heavily loaded we can't give up the storage space under the sofa. So, we're still debating solutions.

Well we got!!
Went down to the furniture store yesterday with the trailer.
Parked half on sidewalk so we could open up the slides.
They brought out the Lazy Boy sofa with the sleeper part already out of it.
With 4 guys and a little push for the last inch to get in the door, it went in.
Had to straighten the inside of the door frame about 1" bent in.
The sleeper part fit in perfert.
The 75" Lazy Boy sofa with a full size pull out bed, (great matress)fits perfectly across the back of the 3400RL.
Well if my wife can get a new couch.
I bought a Lazy Boy recliner, a recliner built for a real man.
I can sit comfortable and when I recline it supports my feet not my calfs.
The OLD sofa is in the house and the dogs love it, and planning on selling the two recliners in a yard sale.
If anyone is spec. out a trailer to be built, I would highly reccommend that you tell them to delete the sofa and two recliners and find a national furniture store or a Lazy Boy dealer near the plant and buy your own sofa and chair and have it sent to the plant to be installed in your 5th wheel.
No offense, but the sofa and recliner they put in my Montana was crap for what we paid for it.

We are going to replace our one recliner and hide a bed. We saw a sofa with 2 recliners built in and they have a recliner to match. That is what we are going to do next year. We can put the trailer recliner in our game room in basement of house and sofa too. Our dogs will love it! There is a sofa down there I been wanting to get rid of for long long time! Big monstrosity, heavy sofa that has been in TV room in house.

Carlson: What model sofa did you get. Our Lazyboy sofa wouldn't fit in our unit as it is too wide and too deep for the slides?

From the sales slip it is a EC 628 RK SCPR the color is Rifleman Khaki
It is a regular Sofa with a full size pull out sleeper.
The mattress is a full 6" thick
It is 77" long and 33" wide.
The max width that you can do is a 35" wide.
If you are getting a new sofa a 75" long will fit in the door just right.
The 77" was a little bit of a situation, it bent the door frame a little but I straighten it out.
My wife is so happy now and with my new Lazy Boy recliner I am in haven.
Remember the old say
"If momma is NOT happy nobody is happy"
Momma is happy

I`d love to get a new longer hide-a-bed sofa and 2 new recliners. The factory ones are for smurfs!! You all are right they are very uncomfortable, it seems you are falling forward on the sofa when you sit in it. I`ll be checking out the local furniture stores for a good set with a good mattress. The boss wants to put a few more miles on this set first. "A Happy Wife, is a Happy Home"

I had a question about switching the sofa with the lounge chairs in the 3400RL. Won't the sofa cover up the floor heat register?
