Hot Water Question

Our 2008 Montana 2955 has a Suburban SW10DE hot water heater. When RV is connected to electricity, does this hot water heater operate on either/or propane or electricity -- or is it strictly propane.

Thanks!

I believe it can have both. it you pull the cover and look in teh lower left hand corner you should see a small rocker switch. If you do you have both.

I have a 2007 3075RL. There is one switch inside that operates the water heater on propane. To operate it on electric I have to remove the outside grill on the water heater and turn on the small black rocker switch at the bottom left corner of water heater. I can turn on both switches to operate on propane and electric at the same time for faster recovery rate. Being a 2008 year model, yours is likely the same.

I always wait until I am connected to power to turn on the switches. And I always turn them off when we disconnect power to leave a site.
