It looks like you get speech recognition and games...and the 700 series gives you the last position locater.

The speech thing could be way cool if it works.

That 760 is looking mighty tasty Ozzie - and using your link its cheaper than what I paid for my original 350.

I like the bluetooth interface (I think) and the built in traffic alert feature.

You're right - the traffic receiver is built into the 760. So that means no wires or antenna sticking up?...I sure like that idea.
Hmmm....that sure would look nice in my truck...I better stop myself...

There's a new player intown.
It's called:

DASH

$400 for unit
$12.99 a month for features, including live traffic congestion directly from other DASH owners.

Looks like a neat approach. It behaves like what I think a built-in should be like (send addresses to car, on the spot updates, etc.) but the factory ones seem to be pretty primitive. Maybe they will watch this.

The downside is I don't see audiobooks, and it doesn't look very friendly to carry around hiking or in a shirtpocket.

Like rames14, I use the beanbag mount with my Garmin 2720. On my Ford it would sit right where I put it but in this Dodge the dash is more sloped and it would slide towards the windshield when going over bumps. Until, that is, I discovered those little arms on the beanbag have metal inserts that can easily be bent/shaped to fit the dash. Now it take a really bad road, such as some of those 4x4 high clearance roads we like to explore, to move it and then I just push it onto the flat area near the windshield.

Steve: Try a piece of that non skid stuff your DW uses in the shelves to keep stuff from sliding around. Contact cement will mount it to the bean bag..

Did the 760 Ozzie - should be here today. I used your link - they were the cheapest.

Very nice Brad - that's the one I want too...
...maybe I should drop mine...

I really like the darker color to blend in with my interior, and the fm transmitter to eliminate wires and free up a lighter plug. Trying to keep things clean and not cluttered these days. I hope you REALLY like it!

Well - new windshield + new Nuvi. Geezoots, the season hasn't even started yet and I'm out of Diesel money!

This 760 is nice Ozzie - The traffic alert has warned me twice about congestion on I-70 in Denver, and the bluetooth connection to my cell phone is absolutely fantastic. It puts my entire phone book on the screen, has voice dial, the works, and it sounds more clear than my headpiece.

The only thing I'm not real thrilled with is the FM modulator. It has a tough time holding the station, and I get kicked off sometimes by other peoples I-Pods modulating in the car next to me.

The traffic alert antenna is in the charger cord, so I had to replace the previous cord I had concealed behind the dash with the new one to get it to work. In fact, nothing from the 360 Nuvi is compatible.
