We have just returned from our best camping vacation ever and it was at Venice Campground, Venice, Fla. This place is a trip back in time to "old Florida", it is exactly as I remember Florida in my childhood.The moss hanging from the trees, and there are ALOT of trees so it is nice and shady, the beautiful exotic birds, and even sightings of an alligator in the canal. This place is rustic but with all the modern conveniences that make camping nowadays so nice. A great laundry, computer hookup. unfortunately there was no cable tv, but if your sitting around in Florida watching tv - what are you thinking! Get up and go to the beach or to the beautiful campground pool. I hope some of you give this place a try, I'm sure you'll be glad you did.
