Just to add to Steve's suggestion: We like the North Carolina "side" of the Smokey Mountains. We have stayed at Holly Cove RV Park between Cherokee and Sylva, and also at Creekwood Farm RV Park near Waynesville, NC.; but there are many good parks in this general area.
Much depends on whether you prefer the more secluded parks or those in a more urban setting. Many families with younger children want to be near the "attractions." Others (such as we are) prefer quieter parks (for example, Holly Creek above.) For a park nearer to the attractions, there is a nice park in Sevierville, TN (River Plantation)
These are just examples.
You also mentioned AL and FL. WOW! that opens up almost endless possibilites. We just returned a week or so ago from a few days at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL. We also like St. Andrews State Park near Panama City, FL as well as Ft. Pickens Campground in the Gulf Islands National Seashore, near Pensacola, FL.
Last May we enjoyed staying in the Central Florida area where there are beautiful spring runs (Salt Springs in the National Park, also Silver River State Park.)
If you want to know more about any of these places, just let me know.
