Frankenmuth, MI

Our kids gave us two nights at the Bavarian Lodge in Frankenmuth, MI, for our anniversary several months ago and we just returned from a weekend there. We flew into Detroit and rented a car. Frankenmuth is a nice small town (about 1 hour 45 minutes north of Detroit). The town is known for their Bronners Christmas Shop and the German, Bavarian decor. Of course since we were there only for two nights we flew and did not have our Montana, but could not resist checking out the campground - Jellystone- across from the Christmas shop. Stopped in the office and asked if we could look around the facilities. Front desk people were very nice. We found three Montanas and spotted one owner outside his rig and chatted for a few minutes. They had never heard about this forum and did not have a computer, but were willing to share info with us on the campground. Seems everyone there was totally happy and many of the campers are repeaters who have been comning for several years. Lots of big units. If we returned to this area would not hesitate to stay in this park.
