Recomendations regarding

Hello to all out there, I hope all is well.
We have made reservations for a park called Marble Quarry RV Park in California's 49er trail in the town of Columbia. it is still early and I can cancel if necessary. I tried to get 49er RV Park but they are having a large group there when we wanted to stay, so all of the good spots have been reserved, the person at that park recommended Marble Quarry so I am trusting her judgment and I'll combine it with recommendations from members on the MOC.
The park looked nice from Google's eye in the sky. and the attendant seem friendly when I talked to her.
Most of the shady spots in RV Parke in that area didn't meet my standards for our dogs except for the one I got at M Q RV Park # 62. we will spend a week there and scout around for another area if necessary or we can extend our visit at that park.
any comments good or bad will be appreciated, along with fun places to go in a 50 mile radius.
We will be arriving there on the 5th of Sept.
Thanks a lot.

We stayed at the 49er RV Park when we were there last, so I have no info on Mable Quarry RV Park.

But Columbia is a great place to spend an entire day in. Did you know the movie "High Noon" was filmed there?

Angel's Camp has the cabin of Mark Twain, and is home to the "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County" giving him the first great success as a writer, bringing him national attention.

Jamestown is the home of a train museum, some of which have played parts in many motion pictures.

Just driving on the 49 highway is a must and a treat.

The reviews seem good and I noticed they are nearby your first choice.
