Domestic Thermostat Failing

I have a 2007 Montana 3000RK and it seams that the thermostat is starting to fail. I have to tap on it to get the AC to come on. I would like to replace it with something that is easier to read. I removed it from the wall and the connection is a phone style plug instead of separate wires into a block with tightening screws. Has anyone replaced this type of thermostat? What brand did you go with and how did you deal with the phone connection? TIA

That sure looks like the infamous Remote Control Thermostat Montana used in 2005, 2006, and 2007 (??). It generally was considered a POS and many of us replaced it. Here is a link to an *OLD* Thread on this thermostat, its replacement, and, at one time pictures, which have since disappeared due to Photo Bucket changing its picture hosting rules. This is a long Thread, which is interesting to read, but much of the early Posts are outdated due to changes by Dometic. However there has been some recent activity, and successes, in replacing the thermostat. Be sure to read pages #17 and #18 for the most current info.
