This will definitely jinx the price. Diesel here in Washburn has been $4.80 for two weeks now. Gas has fluctuated between $3.96 and $4.00.

So what happened to the rest of this thread? Is this no longer being used?
OK, we are on our way home from southern Oregon. Paid $4.769 in Canyonville. In Weed, CA it was $4.999. That is real close to five dollars! In Gardnerville, NV it was $4.799. In Bishop, CA it was $5.089. With the price of a barrel of oil going up at record pace I'm sure glad I'm almost home!

Here in NW MI diesel has been quietly sliding for the last week (AAA). Been losing about a penny a day across the state while gas has been getting all the press as it was creeping upwards every day. Don't know what this $11 jump today will do to diesel, but I hope it continues it's disconnect from the gasoline upward trend.

The only disconnect is that I'm being disconnected from my money!
By the way diesel at Lee Vinning, CA which is the eastern portal to the fabulous Yosemite area was $5.499. I'm so glad I did not have to fuel up at that location. By the way the drive down hwy 395 was spectacular. If you ever get a chance to drive this road then do so. You will appreciate it.

We purchased Diesel yeterday morning fot 4.619. We later Honda'ed past that same station after oil went up 10.00+ and the price was 4.899 and gas had also increased .20 cents to 3.999. That was all in about 6 hours.

Dennis, that was funny... I guess not really, though, huh?
There was a local gas station here that was selling gasoline for 3.999. They had lines. Everyone else in the Traverse City/ Bellaire area is at 4.089 to 4.199.

I filled up my extra tank and topped off the truck yesterday at a station here in Tallahasse for $4.499, when I saw oil heading out of site yesterday. I am heading toward Panama City, Fl. tomorrow. I know it will be higher there. I am good to go for another 1000 miles.

One station here in Manhattan KS at 4.69; the other two are at 4.79 today; owner of one told me to expect 20 cent increase first thing Monday once their depot opens up (if not even more given far east markets will have been open for some time by then so new barrel price could be set by then  ..... )

Well the "lower" diesel prices here in Bakersfield did not last long. Now up to about $5.189.

Cheapest diesel here is 459.9. We just came back from Littleton, Co. and saw diesel for 456.9.

Paid 4.999 for diesel in Victorville, CA on Wednesday, 6-4-08. Paid 4.969 for diesel today in Palm Desert, CA at Sam's Club.

Gas is up and diesel is down. 3.89 for 10% and 3.99 for reg gas and diesel is 4.59. At lest diesel is dropping slowly. World news said gas is going up just giving them a reason to raise the price and also the congress doesn't care.

Today you get the report that oil reserves are down so price goes up. Gas now 4.059; diesel 4.89 two places and 5.019 at one station locally.

Skypilot, remember that oil prices are strictly a result of "supply and demand" - has nothing to do with "announcements"...
Diesel around $4.88 at our cheapest station. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Probably more "surprises"...

Bakersfield, CA diesel is now $4.999 at the lowest and many more at about $5.199. I've got an empty tank that I'd better fill up now because it may be much more tomorrow.

Wednesday I filled up for 4.44 in Durant, Oklahoma.
When I got home to Gainesville, Texas Sunday I paid 4.66.
I have seen 4.99 several places on I35. Loves etc.
