How do you fly your colors?

Let’s see them. I’m not set up until they are up.

Flag Pole Buddy

We have a flag pole buddy that has mounts attached to the rear ladder for our displays. Love it!

That same PVC flag holder and with a solar light since it stays up 24/7. Plus a small Uncle Sam figure holding a small stick flag.

Became totally disenchanted with the idea after seeing a nice shiny new class A get all beat up by one of those poles attached to the rear ladder during a bit of wind in ABQ several years back. At least the pole didn't fly off and get another coach/trailer/whatever in the CG, but it sure made a mess of that Allegra bus!

I fabricated a bracket for the top of my ladder, and I also have a solar light on top of the pole to keep it iluminated at night.
As was stated above, I'm not set up until the flag is up!

I have seen a 5er get beat to the devil by the pole in coastal FL. Maybe a shorter pole would not have beat it quite so bad???

I gave up after I had a pole break in strong winds at a NASCAR race. Top half of the pole landed in a group of youngsters who were partying in their site behind ours. Damn near started a riot.

Mostly for when we travel I made up a pole from some spare 1" aluminum tubing and an adjustable bracket from ebay which mounts on the ladder. This replaces a couple we had stuck in the ground on a stick. I'll be using a fairly small flag for the reasons others have noted. It isn't the size of the flag but our need to support my country. I also have a bracket that mounts on the summer site's power pedestal which has been used for about as long as we have spent much of our summers there.

Flag Pole Buddy & Solar Lite. To help with the wind concern I don't always fully extend it if the weather is going to be rough and I have a bungee further up the ladder from the mount to help hold the pole in place

We use the flag pole buddy but during extreme winds we will bring it down.
