Turn signal not working with lights on

OK, next issue, now that I have learned not to put the battery in backwards! I have had an issue for the past few months with the left turn signal on the rear of the Monty. It works fine with the haedlight switch off in my truck. When I turn the lights on, the signal no longer works. My troubleshootign has included cleaning the 7 pin connector, switching bulbs from left to right signal (left still fails), and new bulbs. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I would look at the ground for the left turn signal and make sure it is a good solid ground.
That is the common connection at this point.

Yep,check for a good gound connection. With the lights off it will ground back through the tail lite ckt, but once you turn on the lights you take that path away and now no turn signal/brake lite. Was a problem with some early 60's cars I've owned.

Does your brake light work with the lights on. Check the tail light is on one post and the brake/turn signal is on the other.
