Interstate 39 heading south

While heading south on interstate 39 we flashed our headlights at a Montana heading north...they flashed back to! It was near the ElPaso exit.

Wish it had been us, but it wasn't. We went through El Paso on Friday on our way to Amboy. Never thought we would be winter camping in the middle of April, but Rockford is forcasting 3-6 inches of the white stuff tonight and tomorrow. Thought the reason we went south in the winter was to get away from this stuff.

Gary and Karen, this winter just does not want to leave!
I have an uncle that lives right next door to the Green River Oaks Camping Resort in Amboy. There are some nice campgrounds up that way.
We were on our way to Comlara Park, it has nice large sites and a beautiful lake.

Isn't that true!!!! This is the last time we leave Florida before the middle of April at the earliest . We just love the Amboy area. We have been coming out here for about 10 years now. We stay at Mendota Hills which is south of Amboy. We aren't familiar with Comlara Park. Sounds really nice.

Gary and Karen, you will have to take a ride through the park. It is right off of 39 about 7 miles south of ElPaso. They have a nice beach area too. It is really a nice park. We have been to Mendota Hills but it has been awhile. Amboy has alot of nice parks.
You will have to take a trip into Ottawa to check out the new Wal~Mart..Peru has a new quizno's restaurant that just opened about 2 weeks ago.
I sure hope this cold will be gone by next week. The weather has been different for sure this year.
