Did you receive????????

Has anyone received a packet from Good Sam organization about HALF-PRICE CAMPSITES???? Is this thing for real or is it a bunch of huuuuey.... I think what I am reading here is that you would only get a half-price discount if the campground agreed to give it to you. Must be a catch here somewhere. "If it sounds to good to be true, more than likely it is." Of course you have to join Campground USA and get all of their benifits.. Can someone explain this to me in laymans language. Thanks...JB..deadeye

Yes, you get 1/2 price off what I think is a price that's too high. Then you'll find that it is not good on weekends/holidays, and only for 2-3 days at a time. At least that's what I saw when I received it.

I think it is called CampClub USA. Yes they have 1/2 off camping. Not sure about weekends/holidays, but that sounds right.

I'll let you know how it goes. We are staying in at least 2 of their campgrounds out of 15 travel days on our trip to Branson, MO in May. I checked, but couldn't find any of their campgrounds along our route of travel.

At one time CW sold Passport America memberships. Than all of a sudden they came up with CampclubUSA which is nearly a duplicate of Passport America. CW used Passport to gain the knowledge and than dumped Passport. Although I am a member of CW and shop there often there is no way in H**L I'd join CampClub USA.

You want 1/2 price camping? Join Passport America. They invented 1/2 price camping and there are many more Passport campgrounds than there are CampClub USA.

We received the mailing today. I went to the web site and started checking CG in areas where we have camped. There are several that we are familiar with and they are good parks. For $40 per year, it would only take a night or two to make that savings. We have Passport America and have more than paid for it. Camp Club USA is connected with Coast to Coast and Woodalls so that gives an added benefit. We will join as soon as we begin full timing. We also plan on taking advantage of all the offers we get in the mail for free camping if we listen to their sales pitch.
Happy trails.........................
