Question New regulations for sewer outlets?

I was talking to a rv park owner yesterday. He said there is a new (government?) regulation that all new rvs, trailers, etc must have the sewer outlet at the rear of the unit.
I have noticed that some parks have the ground inlet at the back, but seems like most are in the middle like the Montanas currently have. However, the fairgrounds at Goshen are at the back. So eventually things will work out (in maybe 20 years!!)

I'm thinking that park owner is misinformed.

Most fairgrounds are like that. Tucson for instance. They do it to save money by running all the utilities in one trench. Something a lot of cities won't let you do.

Way too many parks have their layouts done by people with no concept for the reality of rv designs. While the new site I was in at harpers ferry had the utilites nicely done, the site had a large boulder on the left of the swing-in to the site and was not angled to the narrow site. End result was deep plow marks from the right side wheels into the grass. I barely missed a fire pit that they put at the right rear of the site.

The older campgrounds were designed for smaller RV's when we started camping in a popup you were lucky to get 120V. The older campground either upgrade or go out of business.

I also heard a similar rumor, but it was more along the lines of each CG owner is supposed to greet each guest with a bottle of Whiskey for the weekend.

That is false, because not all campers have rear kitchens or bathrooms, the outlet is where the bathrooms and kitchens are, the manufactures aren't going to run pipes to the rear of the rig if it has a mid or front bathroom

Although government regulations can often be nonsensical, I would guess someone misunderstood what they heard or read.

Not meaning you, Tom.

A sewage outlet on the rear would make zero sense. Especially on toy hauler!!

But then they have separated the black water outlet from the grey water on the HC 380/381TH!! We literally have to back up to dump gray after black about 10’ at a dump station!! Makes me think a regulation is coming down the pipe (pun intended) to have separate disposal systems for black vs gray water??

Carl has California started anything like that?

We have stayed at a few RV pars that had converted mobile home sites for RVs. The sewer connection was in the middle of the site at the rear. This most likely was to allow sufficient slope on the mobile home sewer pipe before it connected to the ground connector. Made for a PIA hookup of the RV. Had to crawl under the unit to connect the tube.

My Niece has a permanent site that she owns in a Campground in Western Pennsylvania. DEP is requiring sewage lines to be 10 ft. from the water line cost to the campground in the excess of $500,000 not a rumor. So the sewer line could end up anywhere in relation to the trailer to accomplish this new Reg.
