Roof Sealer
I was cleaning the roof the other day and noticed two cracks in that stiff grey putty stuff that seals the TV antenna base and one of the plumbing vents. The antenna has a crack about 2 inches long and a 1/4 inch wide, the vent has a crack about 1/4 inch long and an 1/8 inch wide. Looking through the Camping World Catalog I wasn't sure what product to buy to repair these cracks. They don't seem to be leaking but I'm not going to give them a chance. Any recommendations?

Look here for a caulk that will help fill the gaps in your roof. Didn't find the caulk at Camping World ether.

I have been told that the best way to ensure that it does not leak is to uninstall and reinstall. In that way the seal will be complete and good. With a caulk to fill in, you are never sure that it is sealed and it is tough to get it clean because of the raggedness of the crack and possibly the depth.

I do all my recaulking on the roof with caulk recommended by the roofing manufacturer. Be sure you use caulk that states it is for use on rubber roofs.

What a timely topic. Just today Bob had to repair a couple of areas on the roof due to leaking. (We had to sleep on the sofa last night due to the leaks.) He went to the local RV dealer and purchased Dicor lap sealant 501LS (our roof is made by Dicor) and strips of self adhesive EPDM roofing membrane. We had some tears under the original lap sealant around the TV antenna that had to be repaired. He followed the Dicor directions for cleaning the area prior to repair. If you don't have the directions, they can be found online at the Dicor website, or just let us know. Specifically, do not use petroleum solvents, harsh abrasives or citric based cleaners on your rubber roof. Good luck.

You did exactly right. If you don't know what to use to clean the roof where you are going to repair, rubbing alcohol is about the best thing you can use.
