Baggage Lock D Hole repair

Anyone ever find a way to repair a D Hole for the baggage compartment locks. I hate to glue the lock in place but am tired of of the locks turning in the holes.

I was hoping some makes an insert that can be glued but still allows the cam lock to be replaced.

There should be a nut on the back of the lock that you tighten up to prevent the lock from rotating.

I expect that Lenny hit it on the head. The holding nut is probably loose. You will need to hold the lock in its orientation while you then use another wrench to tighten it the holding nut.

I had a lockset that went into a keyed hole, but when I tried to tighten the nut the whole thing tried to turn since the capture hole is mostly fiberglass and torquing the nut was stronger than the hole it sits in. I mention this because I nearly ruined the hole it sits in when I fixed mine.

Mr. Scotch, Instead of glue, I have used a product called Mighty Mend-it. It is kinda like glue, but it does not set up hard. Put it on the threads, insert into rounded out hole, tighten nut and let sit over night.
