Winegard

Seems I have a small leak from my Winegard crank. Any knowledge as to where the cause may be?
Thanks
Dennis

You will have to get on top of the rig, there is a small rubber boot at the base of the antenna shaft that can either crack or work itself loose. That is the first place to check.

So you know what you are looking at, go to their site and look at the parts list and manual before you climb up on the roof. There is instructions on lubricating and also parts that can be replaced. Lubrication will normally prevent leaks, as well as the boot at the coax connection. Click on the file 2452013.pdf in the following link for the owners manual. http://www.winegard.com/help/index.p...le:2452013.pdf

That boot is known to work itself loose and slide up the cable. Helen found ours loose on our roof inspection last month.

Thanks Rich ... Well, I guess if you bounce around enough anything can come loose. I am not using the Winegard, so I am thinking about just removing it and putting a cap over the hole. We will be using a DISH.
Thanks again
Dennis
