Food gets by Sink Strainer
Obviously food particles slip by Sink strainers on occasion. Can we put drano down or sink lines to prevent clogging or is there a better solution

As long as you use plenty of water I don't think those small pieces will hurt. Lots of water should carry most all out. And some water in the tank when when traveling should stir up any thing settled on the bottom. I have never put any chemicals in ours in 8 yrs.

Do not worry about it,we are fulltimers and get lots of food particles past the strainer and I see them when I dump just every once in a while i will put my black tank treatment down the grey tanks and that works well..Again no big deal

We use these type of things in all our drains: http://www.amazon.com/Camco-42273-As...rv+sink+screen
Also keeps the hair out of the substitute for a P-trap in the shower.

We use the same thing in our kitchen gray tank as we use in the black tank. We put a scoop or two of Happy Camper down the drain and it helps break up any food particle that may have slipped by the strainer. I use the galley tank to rinse the slinky first and then use the bathroom gray to do the final rinse.

Yes the galley tank can be just as nasty as the black tank and requires similar treatment use lots of water dump often we also use black tank treatment in the galley tank.

We generally leave our galley tank open. Two or three times a year we will close it and add some gray tank solution and let it fill for a week or so. When we dump it we reverse flush the tank several times with our Flush King. The Flush King lets you back flush any of your three tanks.
