12 volt system seems inoperatable and question
Hello,
New to us 2003 3670. I have the trailer in storage as we are loading it and preparing for our first trip. All of the 110 and 12 volt lights were working when I bought the trailer from an individual but now I cannot get the 12 volts lights to work. Important as our storage vendor does not provide electricity. I am assuming the battery is just dead but I wanted to insure there wasn't a switch I should be turning on. The Montana is a 2003 3670 and none of the light switches are labeled. Any advice you could provide would be appreciated. I am going to check my battery's charge tomorrow.
Thanks
Robert

If you didn't take the battery cables loose, it is dead. The propane detector will run the battery down in about two weeks.

Yes if you did not diconnect the battery it is Dead!
If it was me I would just buy a new RV Deep cycle battery.Maybe or maybe not that battery wil take a charge but leaving on a trip I would not take a chance

Do you have a recommended model and brand for a cut off switch I could install?
Thanks

I'd probably go to an auto parts store, but you can get them for a single or multiple battery setup almost anywhere. Here's what Amazon has to offer: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss...di%2Caps%2C211
a ways down the page you'll see one with a blade type disconnect. That type would be my choice.

Question for those with a cutoff switch. Does this also shut off connection to the propane alarm (for safety reasons, I would think not)? If so, this could be a cause of the battery drainage and hence the dead battery.
If your RV is that new, then I would think the battery is pretty new. And guessing that the dealer put it a suitable deep cycle RV battery, you should be able to put it on a recharger, and bring it back to life. This has worked for me and others I know.
Unfortunately, if you don't have one, then you'll need to buy one, but then you'd always have one for next time. I have a battery charger that recharges 12v AND 6v (for my future 6v battery investment).
