This time the shower won't drain
On our summer trip to Colorado, first week went great...
This morning the shower will not drain. Got one of those rubber flapper things in the line. Will try and borrow a plunger from the campground.
What if that does not work, could you get the water hose from outside and pressurize the drain and "blow" it clear and then take the rubber thing apart?
Or some Drano, safe for plastic. Since the plastic thingy is horizontal, I doubt the Drano would reach it.
The bath sink drains just fine.
Thanks Jim

Does anyone that showers in the Montana have extremely long hair? When our daughter that has long hair was still living at home that was a regular problem for us even in the stick & brick.

Ours plugged up recently. DW's hair, certainly not mine , most of mine was gone years ago. I just used a real skinny bottle brush, cleaned all the gunk out of the drain and it looks just as clean as when new.

And you can always insert smooth chopstick into drain and wiggle it to clear most issues. John

The best thing is prevention. Since we started using screens in the drains we have had to clean the screens frequently but haven't had the drain back up in years.

Have had the same problem twice due to hair. Picked up a 'sink plunger' at a big-box hardware place (don't remember which). It's only about eight inches tall and isn't as powerful as a big one and only costs a few bucks, but it works fine and won't break the plastic thingie. We've also a strainer, but it can be fun when the drain stops and you're not done in the shower. . . .
