Heater Temperature problem in bedroom

When we were in northern Montana I had to run heater in my 3160RL. I found out that the temperature of the air coming out of the duck in the bedroom was about 20 degrees cooler than in the living room. I checked the connection of the ducks from under in the storage compartment and found no leaks. Has anyone else seen this problem? Do you know of a fix?

Maybe the duck has a quack in it and is allowing warm air to escape.

Good luck with this one. You almost have to take a look at all the duct work to find where it's been compromised. I agree 20 degrees might sound like a huge difference.

In my floorplan the furnace is right under the shower and closer to the bedroom. I haven't empirically measured the temp difference but there doesn't seem to be very much, even at the living room duct farthest from the furnace, but living in southern California I ain't too concerned and have NO plans to take my rig to the cold climates.

Isn't the 3160 just like the 3150 layout with front bedroom? And if the furnace isn't close to the bedroom, where is it? Our bedroom vent is connected to the vent via large flexible hose, but still very hot coming out. Cool air does come out on start up, but quickly rises. John

Hey footer, did you get this resolved? I have the same issue in my 3160RL.

The ducts may not be compromised. The factory went cheap and used dryer duct instead of insulated duct. The basement is always freezing and it is a long run from the furnace. I have partially insulated my basement and am changing the heat ducts to insulated ones.
