Ruptured Hydraulic Lines

I took my 3 month old 3400RL into the dealer as it was dripping hydraulic fluid at a pretty good rate. The dealer just called to inform me that I have 2 ruptured hydraulic lines. They are replacing them under the warranty. They are at a loss to tell me what caused the rupture. Have any of you had a similar problem? Any ideas what could rupture the hoses?

Thanks, S. Fuego

YUP - only had our 3400RL for 24 hours before it started to leak hydraulic fluid. The line was replaced under warranty.

Ruptured lines and all, welcome to the forum!!! Sorry for the misfortunes but you have to admit better now than after the warranty is up.

Our very first trip in the Monty we had a hydraulic leak which turned out to be a ruptured line. Our dealer is 150 miles from home but, we had planned our first trip to that area. The line was replaced under warranty in just a few hours and we have had no trouble since.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like a ruptured line is pretty common. That's what I was looking to find out. So far I'm very impressed with our 3400RL. Our previous rv was a 39' diesel pusher. One of the reasons for getting rid of it was the constant breakdowns. In the first 3 months of owning it I had a 2 page list of warranty repairs. A ruptured hydraulic line and a couple of water drips are nothing compared to the mh. Me, my wife and my wallet are all very happy we made the switch to the 3400.

Where were the lines that ruptured located?

In our case it was about two feet from the pump.

My 2005 keystone montana has a leak just beside the battery leading away from the fill chamber... Why did it start there??? I had access so I tried splicing it but didn't work.. made a mess. Where does this connect too??? I need a new line...
