Question for new 3150RL owners

I got a replacement entry door and shock from Keystone. My original entry door's shock was too stiff and sprung my hinges which made the door very crooked in the frame. I'm kinda in a showdown with the dealer as they claim they installed the shock mounts in the same place as the old door. The extended length of the new shock doesn't hold the door straight out any more. Could one of you measure just the length of the cylinder body and then the total length of the entire shock when the door is open at its fullest? Thanks in advance!

On ours the cylinder body is ~ 11.5 inches and fully extended ~21 inches long. The door opens a couple inches past straight out.

No wonder I had to slip sideways to get in my fiver ... new shock is but 18" long. Back to the dealer via USPS this time.
