I assume you're talking about the step that's part of the trailer and not the folding entry steps. If thats the case, the floor should be attached to the wall with a 3" machine screw. It was probably stripped upon installation by over-tightening. I had a seperation where the toilet room floor was seperated from the wall by stripped screws. I clamped them together and drilled new holes and put in new screws. That was 2 yrs ago and they held. I added liquid nail also.
