quartzsite rally

If you have not heard there is a politcal problem in Quartzsite. This is something that needs to be watched because it is a problem with our first amendment rights. Please check it out.
We were thinking about going but unless there are some big changes we will not be going. I refuse to go some place in this great country and be told that I do not have free speech rights.
Just one man's opinion.
God bless the Republic

The Quartzsite Rally is a place for visting and helping each other out with mods on our units.
We do not have time for politcal problems. We are there for relaxation and sharing our traveling experiences. The forum is not for political problems, it for sharing ideas and helping each other.

It is possible to attend this Rally and never go to the town proper. You will be utilizing Federal land and if you need supplies etc, can go north to Parker or bring enough to exist for your stay. Ron explains it well, political disagreements are discouraged/forbidden here on the MOC, and the Rally is for sharing. You may of course discuss those political ideas at the Rally in person, if you find someone who wishes to share the discourse.

The Q Rally is unbelievable, an experience not to be missed if you can get there. Not sure CountryGuy and I will ever be able to attend again, but, God willing and the creek don't rise, if that is in the plans our Maker has for us, maybe we can do a repeat???

I am pretty sure you will NOT regret attending this Rally.

Jack, there are no political problems at the Q gathering, you have all your rights of free speech as well as anyone. Helmick has pointed out the Q gathering is for relaxation and having a good time with each other.

Last year there was a small problem, it has been taken care of and the Q gathering this year should be another great success. We have two very nice people as wagon masters and I am very confident that we all will enjoy our stay at the Quartzsite Circling of the Wagons.

Come on down and see for yourself what it is all about.

It looks like they have quite a political mess in Quartzsite but I fail to see it having any effect on us out in the desert

Whats is all this about? a "politcal problem in Quartzsite" On BLM land? whats happening here?............I thought it was a gathering of MOC members for fun and relaxation, to see the sights, and have a great campfires.

All political problems must be cleared by BLM Rangers on there land .
The MOC does not allow political issues from what I understood.

As for last years Q circling the only thing I heard was exceeding the alotted time of stay in that area, which was solved up there. and all went well.

If that is what it is about it should have been more specific.
That will have nothing to do with our Rally or going to the RV shows.
Most all of us are looking forward to Quartzsite 2012.

Good grief. Those folks in Q are starting to suffer heatstroke.

After reading the article I dont see what it has to do with the Circling at the Q and first amendment rights, there is no water plumbing or serer at the BLM camp. So the article has nothing to do with the circling at the Q.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
There are several interesting issues at hand playing out in the grand municipality of Quartzsite, AZ. If you are interested in following these issues there are several links that will keep you abreast of all the goings on. Let us leave it at that.

As has been pointed out by several members political issues are best left to other sites. Enjoy the MOC and enjoy your trip to Quartzsite this coming season.

Thank you, RVWheels.
