It gives extra clearance if traveling over rough areas.. but it also adds what might be the right amount of clearance to get into your spot.
Good idea but there is another necessary step. The axles are arched so you cannot simply flip them over. Need to weld on another set of spring pads for the springs to sit on to the axles are still arched up when you make that move.

I never gave the axle flipping a thought. Not sure it would help as I'm already at 13'6" and would have clearance issues. I believe I'm clearing the blacktop by about an inch so I don't think the there will be to much stress on the rear. The wheels where the are being mounted, will only give me another 1 -1 1/2 inch of clearance for about the 4 feet I need to get past. Well I hope anyway.
The wheels are already on the way. I sure hope it works.

Can't imagine that putting anymore stress on the frame then digging the rear end of the 5'er into the asphalt or concrete without the rollers.

Backup into the back yard

I fully understand. I backup our 3121rl into the back yard. Have to come off the driveway and 60ft to 12 ft gate. Of course it not a straight shoot.

Let some air out of the TV rear tires for the slow speed, short distance? =O)

I once had to let a bunch of air out of all four tires on a Ford Econoline van to get out of a parking garage in Salt Lake City where they definitely were wrong about the clearance once you got inside. I cleared the warning bar at the entrance with a couple inches to spare to get in, but farther in, it started scraping the roof of the van.
