Roof coming off
I just got back to Texas from S. Carolina and noticed something looked funny on the roof. The rubber roof has come up 3/4's the way around the front skylight/vent over the bed. The roof is wrinkled between the vent and the front cap. It does not appear to be torn anywhere, it looks like it just pulled out from under the vent.
I would of thought the screws for the vent cover would go through the rubber roof to secure it. That does not appear to be the case, there are no screw holes in the portion of the roof that came out from under the lip of the vent. The vent cover just appears to pinch the rubber under it to hold it in place.
It will be a little over 3 weeks before the dealer can look at it, good thing its in covered storage. We had a little rain on our trip, but not too heavy, and there are no signs of leaks. The trailer is 18 months old and I would expect this would be covered under warranty. Am I correct in my thinking?
In the meantime, I will be using my 1967 Apache Eagle tent trailer. The original canvas is still in good shape. I don't think this roof will last as long.
