leaking side windows

Well after the rains we have had here in Texas I have found my main slide is leaking. I got a feeling it is one of the big windows. How hard is it to pull the window and install new caulking. To me the hardest part seems to be pulling the valances and shades inside to get at the screws...Thanks

Check your weep holes on the outside to insure they are clear before pulling a window. Not always but often the cause of leaks. Jim

A good recommendation!

Haven't done it yet, but after the pain of valence removal, I think separating the outside frame from the monte will be the next major pain in the b. Think I would cleanup around the winow/s with plastic putty knife, cleaning surface, then clear silicon to see if this stops the water issue first. I am on the edge as to replacing my now damaged windows or letting a dealer do them...assuming I could even get them from keystone or lippert. John

I have found that with wind driven rain that the water has been forced into the weep holes. If that is not the case, I would clean up the old caulking around the window and use clear ProFlex RV Flexible Sealant to caulk around the window. I would not use silicone.

Did exactly that on a number of our windows and it's worked for a couple of years so far.

That was gonna be my next step to use caulking aroung the window. I have already tried cleaning out weep holes in fact it was just 2 weeks ago. I think it may be the big window cause the factory caulking around it is very brittle from the Texas sun. I was not sure if anybody else had tried to just caulking around it. It seems it would be doable since there is a wide gap created by the factory caulk. We have had an exceptional amount of rain fall at one time, the TV is calling it epic and record setting lol lol lol....course y'all probably been watching the news.
