New Power Cord

I have a generator mounted on a hitch-haul carrier on the back of my Montana. I want to fabricate a power cable just long enough to reach from the generator to the shore power receptacle. Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram that shows the 30 amp plug to the shorepower plug? If it is feasable, I plan to buy a 6-foot length of cable, the 30 amp plug, and the plug for the shore power and put the system together.

Have any of you done this? Or know where I can find a wiring diagram?

The 30A to 50A connection is like plugging both sides of the 50 A circuit into a plug strip. Connect the hot side of the 30A plug to both of the 50A hot leads, ground to ground and neutral to neutral.

I have made chords before. I used an Ohm meter to match the wiring to the plug.
Hope that made sense. You can also purchase short chords or have an electrical supply house make a chord.
