Furnace return vent

twindman Montana Master Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Mesa az Posts: 2,945 M.O.C. #5651	Furnace return vent On the subject of covering the return vent under the stairs in the Montana, am I missing something? Some say they just put a magnetic cover over them or something like that. On my unit, the vent is just wood with slots in it. Do you fashion some sort of hole and install a metal register vent?
