Im with DFB, It does not get any easier that putting 3-4 gallons in the fresh tank and using the pump to push it through all fixtures. I can do my unit in 10-15 minutes tops. You just have to flush the system out real good in the spring with several tanks of fresh water.

No Anti Freeze required. Open the drain valves, remove the plug (anode rod) on the water heater, open all faucets and the lines will drain enough to get most of the water out. Also drain all the tanks.

We live where it will get cold and STAY cold. 15 below with a high of five degrees for a week.This is where freeze damage occurs,. If it gets to like 20 overnight and gets warm in the day, freezing damage most likely wont happen . It needs to get cold and stay cold..

A couple years ago we walked across and jumped up and down on our built in pool. The ice was 6" thick. It stayed below freezing for 3 weeks. No way in hell I'm just going to let the water just drain from my camper. Some of the water lines are buried and would be nearly impossible to repair.

I think like the Gentleman from Brentwood is ok.. It does not get cold and stay cold in Southern California.. However, In other parts, winterizing is not a bad idea..

We use 3 to 4 gallons. More is better than less. Leftover will be used next year.
