JayBird,
Put ours on today but paid close to 3 with shipping and sales tax. The bolts for my Reese 20k seemed long to me so I'll probally measure and get the correct length grade 8's when I get a chance. You'll need a couple 1/2 drive socket wrench with 1 3/4 deep socket,1 reg 3/4 socket, and one short extension for the inside bolt. Also it's a little heavier than it look so be patient and it will be an easy install.Don't forget to torque @ 65lbs.

Jay Bird you got a good price for a great thing! We waited to install one after $6,038 worth of damage. $170 is a cheap for "Peace of Mind"!

Don't do what Richfaa and cmp-shooter did. Go ahead and test yours to see if it works. Their's might not work and it will be past warranty!!!!
Couldn't resist!

Great price, the Bed saver has come down. I had one several years ago. Then went to a Trailer Saver and couldn't use it, we more or less gave it to our friends, but with the B&W system we really have no need for the Bed saver. They do work because thats the first thing I tested. I do see Trucks who didn't use them. GBY....

You should test it..We did.One of the installation mistakes we have seen is to install it so that there is to much of a drop into the bedsaver. It should be a smooth drop with a very short fall. These campers are heavy and you don't want to put to much stress on the bedsaver.
We have to lift the camper over the bedsaver when hitching and un hitching. We dropped it deliberately after installation..it works just fine..

I haven't had time to do the install because of the rain. I will be sure to do a dry run before taking the Monty out again. I want to be sure that it is positioned right. .
Randye. My bed saver is for a 16K Husky/Valley hitch.

Jay Bird, I had the same 16,000 Valley/Huskey, and installed the Blue Ox bed saver. I also had to raise the 5er up to clear the bed saver then lower the 5er to connect to the hitch. Good investment and excellent price. GBY.....

Dumb Question: Why would I need one if I do a pull test everytime?
I have the 16 K Reese 5th wheel hitch.
Thanks in advance

To make sure you have a solid hook up every time.It may look like and feel like you do until you hit the road and than BAM! Too late.
I don't think it takes that much effort to check every time and it's good cheap insurance.
I've been professionally driving for over 25 years and I still do my brake test everytime I hook up.

It only takes once to realize you need one. I don't have one because they don't make one for the TrailerSaver hitch. I have to check and double check everything, including the "pull test."
