I posted the exact lights that I purchased I got the white background but my lights are blue I have a Montana I can't remember my number but it's in my profile and I think I got the 39 inch but I had to cut them to 22in and yes there are certain marks indicated for cutting they fit perfectly. So I purchased two one for each side of the front cap of the Montana and I believe they were like $11 a piece.

I just had one of mine die on my 2016 3402RL. I'm glad someone brought this up. Thank you for all the suggestions!

What was used to clean old adhesive? What kind of adhesive is used to attach new lights?

We were out camping on the Central California coast and I noticed that the right side cap LED light was out. The drivers side is working fine. I ordered a new set of yellow LED light strip from Superbright as recommended in the previous posts.
I am planning to replace both sides.
Looking at the brow of my rig, it appears that the old LED strips were placed using a #M like adhesive product. The strips should come off fairy easily and any good adhesive remover should work like goo-b-gone. Once removed, I’d suggest wiping down the area with rubbing alcohol which should allow the new strip to stick without any issues. I’m planning to use clear silicon to cover the cut end of the LED strip and refill the wiring hole through the cap.

I bought the LED's from superbrightleds.com 2 items WFLS Weatherproof High Power LED Flexible Light Strips. WFLS-B60-WHT:100cm[39.3in] Blue. You will have a little extra per strip to cut, and use in another area if you want. You have a choice of copper, black or white strips. I went with white strips and blue lights like the OEM, but I understand that the 2015 now have white lights instead of the blue.

I ordered the Superbrightleds mentioned in previous posts and installed them over the Thanksgiving holidays. The difficult part was fishing the 12 wires out of the fiberglass housing. The left side (drivers side) was easy to pull out and rewire. The right side was siliconed into the cap, and the wires broke before I could pull enough out to work with. Fortunately, I was able to grab enough wire with a pair on long nose needle nose pliers. I soldered the wires and used shrink wrap tubing to cover the solder joints. Superbrightled makes a tape connection that made the hook up to the LED tape easy. I then siliconed the led tape in place and used silicone to cover the tape connection. Attached are pictures of the finished project. The right side LED picture is before I moved the shrink wrap tubing in place. The left side picture is the completed project.
