We really enjoy our 348RLS.
Alot of bang for the buck.
We looked at both Montana and Mounty and the 348RLS Mounty gave us what we wanted for alot less money.

Dw and I are the proud owners of an '06 329RLS 5er .
Only major problem we had was returning to Michigan from Montana last year and the cable holding the spare tire broke causing the wheel assembly to bounce around underneath causing a lot of undercarriage damage. I didn't realize what happened, I thought I just hit a bump in the road. A nice lady caught up to me at a stop light and asked me if I knew I had lost my spare tire. She took me back to where she had last seen it bouncing, and with a lot of luck I was able to retrieve it. Luckily it didn't bounce through someone's windshield!
We were able to return home without any further problems, took the coach back to our dealer expecting a big hassle. Darn, they took me in with open arms, did the necessary repairs under warranty and even gave me a new tire and wheel assembly.
This year we had one of those real good Mission tires shift a belt on our way to Virginia. I called Good Sam and 3 hours later we were back on our way.
Before our next trip I'll be buying 4 new skins made in the good ole USA.

We have the 335RLBS TT. We travel with a Royal Star Motorcycle in the PU Bed, so we needed to stay with the TT's (don't like Toy haulers). This is our 5th TT in 35 years of Traveling and it's great. Whih the right hitch and setup they travel wonderfully.

If we didn't have a MC we would have chosen the 5er. It's nice to have the extra ceiling height that you get from the 5er.

We have a 2007 Model 2955 5th wheel Mountaineer which we really like. We chose it over many others in the Keystone family and other brands as well. It seems to be well constructed and we took it on a 13000 mile maiden voyage last summer to Alaska with no problems. This is our first experience with a towable coming from the motorhome world of many years. Moved to the towable for economic reasons and miss some of the "nice to haves" of the motorhome but with some time and experience we have adapted quite well. Probably should have spent a little more money and had a genset installed but we carry a portable one...not as convenient but does the job. Also miss the ability to operate 120v off of the batteries when dry camping.

For the money, we are very pleased and hope that Keystone doesn't turn this line into a bunkhouse line....our tour of the factory last Fall seemed like they were leaning in that direction.

348 RLS 5th wheel.
This is my first stepup from a popup trailer.
I've used it for two years and are now looking at other models to see if another model suits us better.

A 2008-305RLA Mountaineer Edition 5th Wheel........bought it in Oct 07...cant use it until early summer...First trailer was a 04 Keystone Sprinter 29ft that we actually occupied on the road for 27 months of the 40 that we owned it...actually we had to buy it... the DW's fingernails gouged the paint as I was removing her from the trailer without her consent...

I looked and walked through many. I chose the 5th wheel over TT in the end because I liked the roomier feel and more storage in the "basement".

After 10 years of going to RV shows, we finally settled on a travel trailer. Nick wanted a Keystone product and settled on a Montana Mountaineer and I was picky about the floor plan. Last summer (2008) we bought a 2007 32 foot FLD model at a great close out price, a little earlier than we wanted (because we aren't quite retired), but they weren't going to make the model anymore so we had to jump. I love this floor plan, because I wanted a desk, and emphasis on a livingroom, instead of a kitchen, and other features, but apparently it wasn't a popular layout so they discontinued after one year?

2007 31RLD TT. I didn't want to have something almost 13" high!

Hi,

We have a 5th wheel. As with other comments, the floorplan and overall set up was what sold us on our unit.

We have a fifth wheel, 2008 305RLT model. Picked it up in Michigan last March and headed to the Grand Canyon in late March. We volunteered at the South Rim for 3 months and at the North Rim for 2 months. Love the floorplan, very livable, no major problems except for a recurring problem with a leaking anti-siphon valve. Had a second AC, slide toppers and a Splendide 2100XC washer/dryer combo installed at the dealer when we picked up the rig.

My 2002 298RLS 5er has been behind a TV for 60K plus miles. Nothing but routine maintenance and replacement of wear items, brakes, tires etc. As for this being a "lower" end Montana as mentioned in a prior post, if you compare my 5er to a "MONTANA" you will find virtually no difference in quality of materials of workmanship. I purchased this unit new and love it.

As you can see from our signature, we have a 326FKBS Mountaineer TT. With our Hensley arrow hitch it pulls like a dream. If I couldn't see it in the mirror, I'd never know it's back there. We put about 8,000 miles a year traveling and we love the TT. I get to put lots of unneeded junk in the pickup bed :

We have a "07" 329RLT. Only add-on is Onan 3500 Generator. Which we still haven't used. We found it used (ebay) for one year by a young (younger than me) couple from Austria. After we made the deal they returned to Europe and left everything but their clothes. We have had it nine months now and I am still finding things I didn't know I had.
While we are on the subject, can anyone explain the difference between the models?
