yes we did it
we were driving through the campground and cut the corner short and hit the cap with the truck. I do have the hitch to allow for this but it looked like I could make it since I have made that turn many times. My question is how do I get some touch up paint match the cap? since most places take a long time to repair fiberglass we have no idea where to get it fixed. Any help woudl be appreciated

What year is your rig? If the cap is the traditional white, I found that a white sink/bathtub repair kit from Lowes worked perfectly for minor gouges. Have had no experience with the Oyster and Brown colors now being used.

You don't say what model or year your rig is. If it is a big sky, then the cap is indeed painted. Best place is the vendor that paints for montana in indiana, but you are probably not close to there. A shop that can handle something the size of a fifth wheel pretty much says commercial truck painting and they would have the expertise. If not a big sky, then there is no paint just colored gelcoat, but stíll need a place that can handle a large vehicle. John

When an idiot ran Tana into a building, we took her to a boat repair facility. Many boats are fiberglass. They can fix small ooops like you seem to be indicating yours is. This solution works really well for those of us that live near lakes.
RV Driving Rules, shows the damage.
Lookie what the wind blew in, shows all fixed up.
Good luck.

I'd also look for a boat repair place. Many boats now days have pretty fancy paint jobs.

I'd call a local body shop for a reference, but some have a camera that can take a picture of the color and then mix up some paint.
