This is the day
Helen retires...This is her last day..33 years of Faithful service to the people of the United States of America... We now have his and hers retirement plaques.. She started as a Flower Child (hippy) and she really was..so this is how she left for work this morning'

That is wonderful. Now the 2 of you can start planning that trip to warm weather. Around January you can look at all that snow on TV and say tkank GOD I don't have to shovel that anymore.

I have to say that I am jealous of you guys, but then you have been working alot longer than I. My time will come! Enjoy your travels in your Montana!! We will be at the Havasu Rv resort in Lake Havasu the month of Jan.Down to Quartzsire the first week of Feb for the big Gem show.Mid Feb to Mid March at the Superstition Sunrise RV resort in Apache Junction, Az Then make our way over to Mobile . Ala for the FCRV retiree campvention 3rd week of March. Wiil not come back to Northeren , Ohio till the temps are above 50 degrees. The countdown to departure starts now,,No later than December 15th and anytime after Thanksgiving.

Oh, Helen you are so cute! So retro! but bring back memories. I had a long redish-brown beard with shoulder length hair about the time you were FIRST wearing that lovely outfit. Why did you wear it when we played golf? Congrats on the retirement! You'll love it. Just remember: retirement is half as much money and twice as much hubby. That means more of Rich! LOL

Helen Congrats on the retirement. You know up till this year I was not in the retirement mode, then my wife retired and I am seeing the easy life she has and I now have the bug, but unfortunely I am about 4 years away.
But I know you guys like us have the ability to capitilize on the experience of others to make the most of these years in our lives. I have been reading the post of some snowbirders and I can see the experience of others is making life better for the newbies so we will be looking forward to our experiences as a result of your experiences.
Well it makes sense to me.
