Power awning rolls up slow
My power awning is unrolling & rolling up much slower than it did about 6 months ago. I have good voltage at the switch..13.5 volts. It sounds like the motor is laboring more than before.
Anybody out there have a similar experience? Thanks in advance.
I have a 2008 3500RL.

Yes same here, I sometimes wonder if it is going to make it up. Seems to get better the more I use it. I guess I need to look at the motor and see if there is any place that needs to be lubed.

Roy is yours an A&E or a Care Free of Colorado. Of the A&E I know nothing, but I do have the Carefree unit. You can tell by the big tear drop housing on either end. If there is no housing then it is most likely the A&E. If you have the Carefree unit you can open the teardrop housing on either end and lube the shaft bearings fairly easily. You Just need a skinny Phillips...Dave

Sometime ago a member posted the same problem with his power awning. He took it to a dealer and they tightened the spring tension a little and this solved the problem.
This will assist when rolling up and when going down the weight to assist.
