Timbrens install

I got them via UPS, now for the install. The ants and I will put them in here in our lot.
Any tips from someone who has done the job on a Ford??
(Besides not including the cat in the install....)

Ozz, that looks easy to me. Bet you will have that done in no time. Let us know how they work.

Haven't worked on a Ford, but when doing my airbags recently, I lifted the back of the truck just enough to get a little elbow room.
Those look like an easy install there - I'm curious how they do too.

Go ahead, install the cat. Should soften the ride.

Ok, you who have too vivid an imagination, we are kidding here.

Oz, on my 06 King Ranch it was a very straightforward install. I did install them first without the spacer and then took it back off and added the spacer. Of course mine isn't a dually. I wanted the Timbrens to get involved early enough to not have drastic headlight alignment problems.

They recommend lifting the weight off the suspension, my bottle jacks will do that. yes, Mickey, the burrs are a real pain!
Thanks, Dave. Looks pretty easy, I'll place them and eyeball whether I want the spacer in first. It would just be better if I was in my garage, I would think.

Ozz, regarding the cat, if you install one of the Timbrens with the cat you will have automatic notification of when they come into play. Dave

Ozz, I backed mine up on ramps and went at it. Took about 45 minutes total. The hard part was the passenger side around the tailpipe.

Thanks, Craig. I'll stare at the box, move it around the floor for a few days, then jump on it. I just know I'll need a short extension for a socket set, or a u-joint I didn't bring. Couldn't bring any of the 4 big roll around tool boxes I have at home. (or my ramps.)
