Glide Ride pinbox for Monty

I know several have bought some fasion of hitch or pinbox to make traveling easier. I just want to relate my experience with the Glide Ride pinbox. I have a 2980RL which has a rather heavy pin weight ... no matter how I loaded it, it's always "chucked" traveling down the road. We just got back from a couple of weeks of Texas traveling and I want to say this pinbox works as advertised. Although it doesn't cushion up and down as some air puck hitches, you arrive at the campsite in late afternoon not all beat to death with the "back and forth" jerkiness you incurr on many roads nowdays. The contents of the fiver seem to stay put better also. Just a tip ... if you order it thru a Hitchhiker dealer, you save $$$. This hitch is standard on some of their units so their cost is lower. I had Demco determine what part number I needed and then asked the local Hitchhiker dealer if he would place the order ... no problem.

Did you install it yourself? seems it would be a pretty simple instalation. Did you use the same bolts or get new ones? I have about the same monty as you only mine is an 04, an truck a 99 F 350, thanks

Ditto for us. The Glide Ride works quite well.
