Where does one get a nice carpet to put outside under the awning to to sit one or let kids play on? I have tried Lowe's and Home Depot. All they have is something off a large roll and it does not have finished sides and they say it will start to unravel. Like it to be a good grade.

Look in the camping world catalog. They have a big selection of rug. You can get a nice one for around $50.

We picked up a nice large one while we were at Quartzsite. But I suspect any large RV parts place would have them. If you're near a large metro area watch for an RV show or a Boat show or something like that. There will usually be a dealer or two.

We got ours at Costco. It is indoor/outdoor and it is perfect. I think we paid $24. for it. You can by 2 and really have a great play area.

I got the one from Lowe's dark green in color comes 12 foot wide and cut it to length, I have two of them one 25 foot long that goes in front of camper under awning. The other one is 12 x15 for screen room to go over for kids to play etc. What i did was spread it out on driveway took a plummer torch and singed the edges about 1/2 inch all the way around to keep it from coming apart. No problems been using same rugs for over 6 years, when they get dirty i take pressure washer to them let them dry and fold them up. Got the less than 40 bucks each I think in that range.

My sister purchased one from Camping world. It is very nice, lightweight and when it rains the water runs through it and it dries super fast..I think she paid around $45.00-$50.00

I got two outside green carpet pieces from Costco. They work very well and were pretty cheap, as much as I do not like Wal*Mart you can buy the rv mats there at a cost of approx. $50.

A lot of RV parks will not allow the larger indoor/outdoor carpets since it will kill the grass. We used to carry one and was told not to use it. we went to a breathable carpet we bought in CW that does not kill the grass. Not all parks have patios and have grass only. Other RV'rs have said the same thing happened to them.

We got some at a "pool place" some time ago.You know the stuff that goes around the swimming pool.It is green looks like grass and of course waterproof.Usually at rallies there is a vender selling different kinds of ourdoor rugs.They are nice if you are going to be at a place for awhile but to me a hassle for the weekend camper.

We carry a piece of Astro turf and only use it if the CG has a gravel or paved area under the awning. Why cover grass?

We use the ones from CW that match the step covers (ours don't match now - they did on old 5er). We have had one for years and years. Got a new one several years ago when we were at an all dirt area. We tried the breathable ones but they didn't last very long. They can be hosed off and are comfy to the bare feet. That green stuff is not. We were at one CG that only allowed a 3x5 rug - period. It was to protect the few blades of grass that were there. Rest was dirt. We don't put ours out if there is a nice full grass area right outside the door.

Ours is a 4' X 6' indoor/outdoor, brightly colored, washable, easy to roll up and store. Am planning to get and attach a pvc pipe under the coach in which to carry it. It was cheap and on sale at WalMart, I think between $15 and $20.

Actually, we bought a long piece off a roll at Lowe’s several years ago for our Prowler, which was 28' long. The awning was almost as long and Marsha wanted to cover that entire area with the “turf.” In a brown color and that length, this was the only way we could meet our needs at that time. There has been very little raveling to date and it is still holding up well with the Montana. I would say that if you can do with mimimal raveling, this is a good way to go.

I would try one of the woven plastic mats . I belive they are called a Japanese Rug or Carpet. They come in different designs,some like flowers,stars and stripes,lots of colors, can be used top up or bottom up.I purchased mine years ago at a rv show best investment I made. I gave the old carpet to my son for his popup.The plastic mat lets the water and dirt drain out and because it lets air through it will not damage the grass like carpet.When you leave the campground just shake it,takes two people,fold it up and put in its own carry bag. I see Wally World aka China Mart handles them in some larger stores back in rv stuff.Some rv dealers have them and I think they are in the camping world catalog.

WE got a good deal at LOWES bought a indoor/outdoor remnant 12X20 cut 6 pices to cover our stairs and gave some away and still have a 9X12 they said the edges might unravel but didnt but I put hot glue around the edges to help, now looking for a long pipe 10"X 8' to put under the rig to store it.

We got ours off the roll @ Menards here locally. We bought 12x20 for about $30 and rolled the edges over and ran then thru the sewing machine with nylon thread. So far it is holding up rather well. We have had it for 3-4 years and when it gets too dirty we hang it over the clothes line and spray it off with a hose. Ours is a blue color that goes well with the Monty as well as the last trailer we had.

Camping World , dog shows, I think Wally World, the internet, I also seen a realy nice one in Q-site it was costly but very niceand folded up to a size of aprox 1' X 18" X 1 1/2" high and that was a 7' X 12'
