Are you plugging into 30 amp - 115 volts or 50 amp - 230 volts.? If 230 volts check for 115 volts on each hot leg top neutral. Also check for proper voltage at main breaker. Post or PM if you need more info.

You might try checking the bathroom GFCI or the one in the kitchen. This sounds like what happens when my outside outlet gets wet and the bathroom GFCI pops offline... Dave

Don,
I assume you've checked the breaker(s) for this (these) circuits. If not that would be the first place to look. Also if they are on a GFCI check that. If all these are good then check for a loose wire at the breaker or somewhere in the circuit.
There! I've exhausted my entire knowledge of electrical stuff!
Good luck and let us know what you find.
It was great meeting you folks at the Rally and I hope you had a great time. Hope to see you on down the road.

I had a similar problem. Check the GFCI are not tripped and CAN be reset. The problem I had was a tandem 15 amp (the other circuit was the 20 amp MW) failed because of the bathroom GFCI failing. I moved the MW to another circuit, then eventually changed the bathroom GFCI and now everything is working.
Actually come to think of it I did not test the AC and it did not turn on even though I had the thermostat set way low, but since we did not need it I ignored it. I figured I'd check it after returning home but I forgot all about it. Funny that it's the same circuits you described. I'll report back what I find in a couple of days when I can get to it.
Thanks for reminding me. I also still need to move the MW back to its original 20A breaker (I moved it to the unused and available W/D circuit).

I don't think the AC will be on the GFIC. It should have it's own circuit and breaker. I would go with what Dennis said. Sounds to me like you don't have power on the buss on one side of the distribution panel. Either loose wire or breaker.

I found the problem I guess one side of the surge protector is shot. We had a power outage a couple of trips ago and the surge must have weakened it. Right now I am hooked up without it and everything is working. Thanks for the help

Don,
Glad you found the problem. Sorry to hear your surge guard is wrecked. Does it have some sort of warranty on it? I hope so.
Thanks for letting us know what you found.
Dennis

Wow... that is not the first time I have heard that can happen to surge guards, depending on how steep and fast the surge happens. When I worked, we'd lose them sometimes, but we always thought that losing one surge guard was better than losing the millions of dollars of equipment that was on the protected side.
I still have some debugging to do on my rig, but it's minor in comparison.
