Water pump very loud new 3791 RD

Used water pump for the first time it’s very noisy and vibrates the shower wall. Any thoughts and how do I get to it.? Thanks Glenn

I believe the water pump in your 3791RD is the same place as everyone eases. It is located behind the convenience center wall and you access it be removing the white plastic panel on the left side. Noisy water pump is a common complaint and there are many things you can do to reduce (not eliminate) the noise. A Search on "water pump noise" or such will provide lots of ideas. Standard things are pump isolation and flex water line additions.

It probably is screwed directly to the floor if so add rubber grommets to reduce the Noise. Everything is noisy in a RV because you are never far from the source of the noise.

If this is your first rig the water pump is a lot noisier than city water. Make sure the pump is running long enough to bleed air out of it. If it is still unusually loud work to improve the isolation of the pump via mounting and hoses.

If the shower wall is vibrating, then the flexible hose kit should do the trick, as the PEX lines are probably laying against the shower wall, and the flex kit will stop or reduce the vibration from the pump transmitted to the lines behind the shower. We have gotten used to the sound of the pump, and it just reminds us that it is working.

I't the same with me Bob, if i didn't hear it, I would think something was wrong, I use it as a timer, with 2 daughters, I know when to inform them ("yell") thats long enough girls....

As had been said previously, the water pump is normally loud and it can be quieted down somewhat by installing rubber grommets between the pump and the floor which it is fastened too. You can also put some type of rubber pad or padding under it. I put some soft foam cushioning under mine and it did quiet it down some but when I find a rubber pad that will work I'm replacing the foam with the rubber padding. Haven't tried the flex tubing yet because it is not vibrating anything like has been said earlier. Good luck and hope your noise quiets down.

We have a 2018 3790RD, we had the same issues. Run the water for both hot and cold on your lower freeze lines to bleed air and then run all other lines to do the same. As stated it will never be noise free when running the pump. I also had to put washers on the pump legs due to over tightening from the factory install. You can access the pump by removing the basement wall next to the city water inlet.

If I have air in the lines I run the outdoor shower until the noise is gone. I have found that this way is the easiest and fastest and uses the least amount of water.

Seems silly now but we had left the fresh water tank fill valve in the open position. Once we closed it off, the water pump went back to normal pump noise.

I did the same thing and pressure was very low. Once closed off back to normal. Just a senior moment.

Had one of those what to do now weeks with the old rig and changed the pump to a "quieter" model, put a rubber pad under it and put the flex pipe kit on it. Still woke us up in the night, just not as loud. Not doing it on the new rig.
